Bandroom

The Bandroom was built in the 1840s as a chapel before the band's 1st conductor, George Senogles, bought it for the band in 1903 for £150. Since then, the bandroom has reen two refurbishments - one in 1988 and one in 2001 which received help from the National Lottery.

In 2003, the band celebrated a century of being in the bandroom with a service of dedication plus an exhibition of the band's history. The Library boasts over 1000 different pieces of music in the catalogue, many of which date back to the early years if the 20th Century and are now quite rare.
